DETAILS:

Deputy Sheriff Benjamin Nimtz was killed in a vehicle crash at the intersection of South Military Trail and SW 10th Street while responding to a domestic violence call at 3:00 am.

His patrol car collided with a pickup truck in the intersection. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Deputy Nimtz had served with the Broward County Sheriff's Office for 16 months. He is survived by his wife and two children.

DETAILS:

On June 5, 2019, the City of Roswell Fire Department was preparing for the community July 4th fireworks show. Driver/Operator Stroble was assisting with this preparation when an explosion occurred, injuring him. Stroble was immediately taken to the hospital but passed away on July 21, 2019, from the injuries he sustained in the explosion.
