MONTGOMERY, Ala. — An Alabama paramedic was killed in a crash between a car and an ambulance on Sunday morning.
The Montgomery Police Department said in a statement that the three occupants of the ambulance were injured in the crash, one fatally, according to WSFA. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured.
The Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments confirmed that the person killed was Care Ambulance Paramedic David Mimms, 54, in a Facebook post.
The Pintlala Volunteer Fire Department also posted on Facebook, saying Mimms had served as an EMS provider in Montgomery County for many years.
The Montgomery Police Department is investigating the crash and said the injuries to the other three victims were not life-threatening.
