Captain Randy Vallot died after contracting COVID-19 as the result of a confirmed exposure during an outbreak within the agency. Captain Vallot had served with the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office for 18 years. He is survived by his wife and seven children. In early 2020, thousands of law enforcement officers and other first responders throughout the country contracted COVID-19 during the worldwide pandemic due to requirements of their job. Many of these first responders died as a result of COVID-19.

Customs Officer Renie Tumanda

Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency, Guam

Customs Officer Renie Tumanda died after contracting COVID-19 as the result of a presumed exposure during an outbreak among officers assigned to the Port Authority of Guam. Officer Tumanda had served with the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency for six years. Officer Tumanda is survived by his wife, three children, parents, and two brothers. In early 2020, thousands of law enforcement officers and other first responders throughout the country contracted COVID-19 during the worldwide pandemic due to requirements of their job. Many of these first responders died as a result of COVID-19.

Correctional Officer Donald E. Parker

Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division, Texas

EOW: Sept. 27, 2020 | Age: 73 | Tour: 9 Years

Correctional Officer Donald Parker died after contracting COVID-19 during an outbreak among staff and inmates at the Neal Unit in Potter County, Texas. Officer Parker had served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for nine years and was assigned as a Food Service Manager. He is survived by two sons. In early 2020, thousands of law enforcement officers and other first responders throughout the country contracted COVID-19 during the worldwide pandemic due to requirements of their job. Many of these first responders died as a result of COVID-19.
